Steroids and Society
Garle, Mats. "Use of doping agents, particularly anabolic steroids, in sports and society." Lancet. 371 (2008): 1872-1882.
The article discusses the use of anabolic androgenic steroids (refered to as AAS) as performance enhancing drugs in sports and its impact on society as a whole. Some of the main focuses of the article are the negative effects of AAS, such as an increased risk of violent behavior, and the public's perception of sports with performance-enhancing substance problems. This source is credible, as it is written based on research done by the Karolinska Instituted Department of Laboratory Medicine in Stockholm, Sweden. This source will be very helpful for my research, as it provides a starting point for my analysis of steroids and their impact on society.
I attended my library workshop last year as a freshman.
