This article was posted on www.news.bbc.co.uk.com on April 1, 2005. It was posted on the website for BBC News, a credible news source. The article is a collection of quotes and of peoples’ comments about the death of Terri Schiavo, who died after 15 years of being in a vegetative state. She had her feeding tube removed after a long court battle between her husband and family, who fought over whether the tube should be removed. The title of the article is “Terri Schiavo: Key Quotes.” It was published on April 1, 2005.
The main point of my source is to see others reactions to the death of Terri. It has quotes from influential people such as George W. Bush, Jesse Jackson, and Terri’s family as well as her husband and their lawyers.
This article is solely a collection of quotes, both from people who supported the decision to remove her feeding tube and those that were against it. I do not see any bias in the article.
The relevance of this source to my paper is to add support to it with quotes from other people who agree with my argument. I also plan on using these quotes to show how emotionally attached her family and the nation was to this popular case. I will be using this source sparingly throughout my paper to support my claims.
